I am a recent PhD graduate from the University of Liverpool, under the supervision of Prof. Kaizhu Huang, Prof. Xinping Yi, and Prof. Rui Zhang. I received my B.S. degree in Applied Math from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in 2018.

My main research interest is the modeling and analysis of structured data using Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). Specifically, I focus on: 1) identifying and analyzing the inherent limitations of GNNs due to often inappropriate assumptions in complex graph environments; 2) discovering and leveraging latent patterns within these environments to improve the real-world applicability of GNNs. The ultimate goal of my research is to bridge theoretical machine learning models with their practical applications, advancing our understanding and utilization of structured data across various interdisciplinary fields.
